Belitung island and Bangka island are located in Indonesia. Me and my friends went there on our last trip on 20-27 April 2009. And this is the story begin…

We meet in Soekarno Hatta International Airport – Jakarta to go to Belitung island. And after finish all the procedures such as check-in and baggage management, we waiting for departure in waiting room. We will fly with Batavia Air. Except Batavia air, there are actually some of the airline that serves to Belitung, those are Sriwijaya air and Linus air.

Look at our face… everyone really excited!! Umm…maybe except Rano…haha He shows his funny face…lol

We waited on Gate B1. On the schedule we will departure at 10:10 am, and will arrive in Belitung at 11:05 am. However, our flight was on delay. Until the airport officer gave us some breads and water. And at last they gave us 1 pack of KFC for each person because we have been waiting for 5 hours or more!! After they gave us a KFC, everyone (we and other passengers) are very angry, because in the end they said that the flight be replaced tomorrow. Oh My God!

See … even though we fed up but we still have the spirit!!!

And they offer 3 options, ie; buy back our tickets, or give us transportation money IDR 75,000 for each people to come back tomorrow, or stay at the hotel provided them with the entire cost of lodging paid by them. And we choose stay in the hotel. After that, they take us to the hotel by bus.

Batavia Air was frustrating … Also Julita have experienced like this before, when using the Batavia Air… So this is her second experience. So i draw a conclusion that Batavia Air is the worst on the accuracy of the flight time! Maybe because the ticket price so cheap?

What a pity I had not had time to take a picture of the hotel where we stay. The hotel was very interesting… If you see from the outside, looks like a ghost hotel.. haha The hotel’s name is “Mandala”. This hotel is very grubby-dirty and many mosquitoes in there. We are not comfortable to stay in there. But we have to be comfortable. After arrive at hotel, Nel, Julita and Rano go out to find some food. Me and Hilda? Just lay on the bed,rest a while, take a bath, and eat in the room.

In the evening, we gather in one room and to eliminate boredom we play cards. We play one game called “tepok nyamuk”. And the losers will achieve the punishment.
